Fjord Mane in Ponies

This is what happens when you put a Fjords mane into a series of "pony tails" in preparation for braiding. This is actually from last year's "mane harvest." I unfortunately didn't get a picture of the braids as my farrier arrived and I'm sure he already thought I was pretty nuts doing this to my horse's mane, let alone documenting it!

For reference and to announce that it's that time of year again. After growing her mane out again for a year it is time for Kitt to return to the traditional Fjord buzz because her mane is too thick to allow it to remain. It simply gets in the way. Her ears disappear, her bridlepath seems non-existent even though it was over two inches long, and, well, I do actually like the look of the traditional cut.

If you would like some Fjord horse hair braids please let me know! All I ask is for $2 to cover shipping for the first braid and $1 for each additional braid. I think I have more than 20 braids that range in length from 5-9" long (braided, individual hairs can be longer) and I would hate to see all of this beautiful hair sit around or be tossed out!
